Smar Dayoub (you can call her summer) is a rising sophomore at Harvard College concentrating in Neuroscience, with a secondary in Economics. Originally from Homs, Syria, she spent her entire life there before coming to Harvard. She is passionate about advocacy, education, and mentorship.
At Harvard, she conducts research at Boston Children’s Hospital, works as a campus tour guide with Harvard Student Agencies, and serves on the board of the Woodbridge International Society. She also mentors students for the Syrian Biology Olympiad and creates educational content to make science more accessible to underserved communities. This summer, she’s excited to bring her international perspective, empathy, and love for meaningful dialogue to the debate team.
In her free time, she enjoys practicing Arabic Sign Language and curating moments of campus life into Instagram reels for her @samar_harvard account
